RJI GIS Mapping Center

Welcome to the GIS Mapping Center!

The Mapping Center is designed to be a repository of Geographic Information System (GIS)-related information stemming from RJI's GIS activities, which include both general and project-specific maps and spatial analyses for Allegany County and surrounding areas, as well as GIS education opportunities for RJI partner agencies.

Within the RJI GIS Mapping Center users have two main options: they can view Pre-Defined Maps or view RJI-authored guides to third-party Online Interactive Mapping Applications.

Pre-Defined Maps can be viewed online, are accompanied by explanations of design, intent, and data sources, and are downloadable in PDF or JPEG format for use in presentations and other projects.

The guides offer a stepping-off point for users interested in delving further into creating dynamic maps for use in projects, presentations, and planning activities.  If you have a need for customized maps for data at regional, state, or national levels, we have created Guides to Interactive Mapping Viewers in order to facilitate use of existing resources on the Internet.
